I am a fourth-year student at the University of Virginia, where I study Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, an interdisciplinary major in the College of Arts and Sciences. During my time at UVA, I’ve found belonging in so many different communities. Coming from a small rural t...own in Virginia, I was overwhelmed at first by the hustle and bustle of a large state university, but now I love the energy! In my four years, I’ve gotten very involved in the music community here; this December, I performed with my acapella group in front of thousands of people at UVA’s annual “Lighting of the Lawn” ceremony! I’ve held multiple leadership positions in different clubs on Grounds, interacted with the greater Charlottesville community through community service, and made some of my best friends. This past summer, I even studied abroad in Paris, after getting lots of guidance from the UVA abroad office! Anyone can find their niche at UVA and I would love to talk to you about what you’re looking for out of your undergraduate experience.
