What do I need to do to be ready for my VIDSIG session?
To prepare for your VIDSIG session, just follow the instructions sent in your VIDSIG Session welcome email that you will receive after you purchase a session! This will tell you how to create your login & password and how to complete your system check.
Why do I need to do a system check?
A system check is to provide you with the best possible experience during your VIDSIG session, we want to ensure that you will have a clear video connection and excellent sound quality on the day of your session! Our system check will verify that you have the hardware, software, and internet connection speed necessary for an amazing session.
What are the system requirements for a successful VIDSIG session?
As a customer, you will need access to a laptop, PC, tablet, or mobile device with a built-in camera and microphone that has the latest software updates installed. You will also need a high-speed internet connection or four bars on a mobile device. As Talent, you will need access to a laptop, PC, or tablet with a built-in camera and microphone that has the latest software updates installed. You will also need a high-speed internet connection (App is currently not available for Talent)
How does VIDSIG ensure secure transmission of PHI?
For real-time digital communication of patient information, HIPAA requires that the communication channel be properly secured to protect patient confidentiality. VIDSIG ensures secure transmission by using:
1. Secure Connection: The sessions established are secure (with secured tokens that are regenerated). Random AES keys are generated by clients at the beginning of the media connection and, to increase security, additional keys are generated periodically throughout the session.
2. Data Transmission and Encryption: VIDSIG employs Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt both voice and video data. The core protocols used are SRTP for media traffic encryption and DTLS-SRTP for key negotiation, both of which are defined by the IETF. The endpoints use AES cipher with 128-bit keys to encrypt audio and video, and HMAC-SHA1 to verify data integrity.
What should I expect to happen during my LIVE video chat session?
On the day of your session, you’ll receive an email letting you know how many minutes you have until you and your celebrity begin your LIVE video chat! Click here to enable text notifications that will alert you when your session is about to begin. You can join your session by logging into our App (customers only) or by going to your VIDSIG Sessions page and clicking on the “Join Session” button. You will be placed in a virtual waiting room until your session time. When it’s your turn, your computer or mobile device will automatically connect you to your celebrity!
What if I accidentally leave the video chat?
Make sure you don’t miss your video chat session by closing out of the session during your meet and greet. It will be your responsibility to stay logged in until your selected time. If you have any questions contact us at Support@vidsig.com
How will I get my video recording after my session?
After your video session, you will receive an email containing a direct link to your VIDSIG video session! Your video will also be stored in your VIDSIG Sessions page ONLY if the Talent has selected to record your session.

How can I reschedule my session?
If you miss your session, it will not be rescheduled or refunded. However, in the case that the talent you’ve selected does not attend or show up to your session, you will automatically receive a refund by the same method of payment.
How can I change my shipping address?
You can change your shipping address on your VIDSIG Profile page.
