Hi! I am a senior at Harvard University studying Integrative Biology with a minor in Studio Art. As a first-generation, low-income student, I can provide a unique perspective on navigating the financial aid system and the numerous resources available for members of this communit...y. I am also from Bismarck, North Dakota and thus, am happy to talk about my experience moving to the East Coast and the culture shock that comes with that. On campus, I am a leader for the First-Year Outdoor Program and the Harvard Outing Club. I was also a part of the Harvard College Conservation Society, the Harvard Photography Club, and the Harvard Puzzle Club. Along with these extracurriculars, I worked as an academic tutor and a building manager’s assistant for Eliot House, and I performed research in a computational biology lab. I will provide an open and honest perspective about my experiences at Harvard from blocking groups to classes to leveraging Harvard’s resources to travel the globe for free (I have traveled to 5 different countries since starting college!). I navigated the admissions process all by myself, and thus, I can also provide detailed, genuine advice about applying to colleges.
