Hi! My name is Miranda and I am currently a junior at Chico State University. I am majoring in Communications with a minor in Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Management. I chose communications because I, like most, had no idea what I wanted to do for my career and soon realiz...ed I wanted to be involved with Events and Hospitality, so I declared that as my minor my sophomore year. In high school, I was very involved with ASB and was a part of the cheerleading team all four years. That being said, I was nervous coming to college during COVID because I did not know what opportunities would be available for me to become involved on campus. Going through college during COVID is a very unique experience and it can take some getting used to, but Chico State has done a great job of providing safe and fun experiences/activities for everyone to remain involved. Through Chico, I have been able to use my past experiences from high school to make connections and gain experiences within my major that will better prepare me for the future. Although I am not in a sorority, my roommates and friends are which gives me insight into greek life. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the college experience!
