University of California guard Mia Mastrov graduated early from Miramonte High School, where she was a three-time, all-state honoree. The 5'11 phenom earned first-team all-league selections in both her freshman and sophomore seasons, and was named the West Coast Jamboree Tournam...ent's Most Valuable Player her sophomore year and garnered first-team All-Northern California honors the last two seasons. Mastrov crossed the 1,000 point threshold last year and had a big sophomore season when she averaged 16.6 points and 6.4 rebounds while scoring a total of 531 points. Overall, she averaged 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds during her prep career. Now playing for the California Golden Bears, Mastrov's connection to Cal runs deep as her grandfather, Bert, played basketball for Hall of Fame coach Pete Newell and the Golden Bears in the 1950s, and she has attended Cal games since she was little.
