I am a sophomore studying Illustration at Parsons School of Design at the New School. I’m originally from the Bay Area, and moved to New York two years ago. My journey at Parsons has been amazing thus far, and I am excited to share some of my experiences with you! I am offering ...advice and insight into everything from choosing your major, as well as building your portfolio, to life in New York: tips about commuting, great locations, and resources important to know as a student. Having taken a gap year, I was able to move to New York a full year ahead of starting classes. This gave me the chance to immerse and familiarize myself with the city, all while building my college admissions portfolio. Along the way, I have spent time working in a studio, as well as teaching art lessons to elementary aged children and starting classes at Parsons.
