I’m Isabel, a first-year student at Hopkins’ Whiting school studying Applied Math & Statistics on a MD/PhD track. Other than my math coursework, I am also involved in neuroscience research, work as an EMT, am a member of a number of academic-based organizations, play in pep band..., and joined greek life. Despite only having been at Hopkins for a few months, I feel that I made the right choice choosing Hopkins: there’s a terrific support system here composed of classmates, recognized outside-class resources, and professors. Not only that, the social aspect here is very much work-hard-play-hard which allows for a good work-life balance here.
