What’s up! I’m currently a first year at the University of Virginia in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. My major is still undecided, but I plan on declaring my major in Biomedical Engineering in the spring. I’m from Sacramento, so I was initially worried about movi...ng all the way across the country to come to school, but I’ve found that the community here is incredibly welcoming. I love being on the grounds here at UVA, especially now that I’ve settled in to my schedule. The academics here certainly are rigorous, but I still find that I have plenty of time to hang out with my friends and stay active. I played water polo and swam in high school, and I’m excited that I can continue both of those through club sports on grounds. I would highly recommend joining a club as it is a great way to meet people and make connections. I also plan on rushing a fraternity in the spring.
