Hello everyone, I am a freshman at the University of Southern California, majoring in biochemistry. I am a recipient of USC’s Presidential Scholarship, and am currently in the Freshman Science Honors program. I chose USC for a number of reasons, such as the university’s financia...l aid, interdisciplinary nature, social life, and beautiful campus. I’d love to offer advice regarding USC, in addition to anecdotes of my experiences here, which range from advanced science programs and research on weekdays to football games and tailgates on weekends. I currently conduct research on synthetic biology at Keck Medical School of USC, specifically on tissue development engineering. While I’m not running computational biology simulations for my lab, you can find me exploring LA or nearby beaches, at football tailgates and games, or at gatherings with friends. USC has been the perfect place for me, as I’m interested in not just biology and chemistry, but also entrepreneurship and the arts: creative writing, music, movies, painting, and so on. USC has all of this and more, with top colleges ranging across these disciplines. Choosing a college will always be a difficult choice, but I hope to help reduce the stress that comes with such a large decision. Show more
