I am a former student of UC Merced and currently pursuing my M.S. in Cognitive and Informational Sciences at the same institution. My passion for research and desire to explore the fascinating realm of cognition led me to choose UC Merced, where I could fully immerse myself in a... rich research environment. Having been in your shoes as an incoming freshman, I understand the excitement and worries that come with starting this new chapter. From the anticipation of meeting roommates to the daunting task of selecting a major, I've experienced it all. Now, as I prepare for the next phase of my academic journey, I'm determined to pursue my dream job with the invaluable foundation I've built at UC Merced. During my time here, I've had the privilege of holding multiple research-based positions that have enriched my understanding of and the application of research methodologies in a research-based setting. In an internship, I focused on providing support to underprivileged children through research-based blog posts, assessments, and interventions. Additionally, I worked in a research lab, investigating the problem-solving and decision-making abilities of fellow UCM students. Along the way, I've navigated the vast array of grants and scholarships offered by UC Merced, tapping into the abundant resources available to enhance my education. Moreover, I've actively sought to establish meaningful connections with professionals in my field, setting the stage for future endeavors. Choosing a university can be an overwhelming process, filled with stress and uncertainty.
