I am a third year undergraduate student at Vanderbilt double majoring in both Earth and Environmental Science and Climate Studies. I've had the privilege in my time at Vanderbilt to be a part of multiple research projects involving Paleoclimates and Glacial Geology, as well as p...ublic outreach activities to engage young and old people with the beauty of natural sciences. I wasn't always in this major, though! I started out in the school of engineering and it took me two times changing my major before I found my perfect fit at Vandy. This gives me a unique perspective on the school and insight into multiple of our amazing departments. My first semester at Vanderbilt was in the midst of the covid crisis, which gave me the experience of seeing just how well my school could adapt to a scary and overwhelming situation. I may have not had the typical freshman experience, but I learned a lot about what it really means to be a self sufficient student!
